War Memorials Trust works for the protection and conservation of war memorials in the UK. They provide advice and information to anyone as well as running grant schemes for the repair and conservation of war memorials. The website provides a range of resources to help you discover more about war memorials and their preservation.
Established by Royal Charter in 1917, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission pays tribute to the 1,700,000 men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the two world wars. It is a non-profit-making organisation that was founded by Sir Fabian Ware.
They are The Soldiers' Charity. They give lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers and their families. They risk so much for us, but for them, it's just doing their job.
In return, ABF provide financial assistance when they are in real need.

Preston Historical Society, founded in 1948, meets on the first Monday of the month between October and May.
The aims and objectives of the Preston Historical Society are to promote the study of local history in Preston and Lancashire. In 2008 the Society celebrated its Diamond Jubilee and is be one of the oldest Societies affiliated to Lancashire Local History Federation.
Help for Heroes is a British charity launched on the 1st October 2007 to help provide better facilities for British servicemen and women wounded since September 11th 2001. It was founded by Bryn Parry OBE and his wife Emma Parry OBE after they visited soldiers at Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham.
